Every marker in every set is the same pen — a broad chisel nib for laying flat colour, a fine bullet nib for line and edge, and a cap moulded in the ink colour and printed with its code, so the shade you used on Tuesday is the shade you find on Friday.

Which size to start with
The honest answer is: the size at which you stop substituting. Below about thirty-six colours you will regularly reach for a shade that is close but not right. From sixty upwards you get the mid-tones that make blending look deliberate rather than lucky. Past a hundred and twenty you are buying finer steps between shades you already own.
Every set page prints its price per marker beneath the set price, and the larger the set the lower that figure goes — without exception across the whole range. Nothing on this page asks you to take that on trust; it is worked out live on each product from what the set costs today.
