Choosing a size
Small squares are for studies, colour tests and quick finished pieces that do not need a frame to look intentional. The middle sizes are the ones people give away and hang. The largest sizes change how you paint — you stop working from the wrist and start working from the shoulder, and a brush that felt right on an A4 board will suddenly feel like a toothbrush.
The round canvases are worth a look if you have been painting squares for a while. A circle has no corners to fill and no obvious top, and that alone tends to loosen up a composition.
Smaller sizes are also sold three to a pack, at a lower price per canvas. Each pack page prints that per-canvas figure beneath the pack price.
