Stretched Canvas — 40 × 50 cm

About this product

The first size that feels like a studio canvas rather than a practice piece.

Canvas stretched over a square wooden frame, sold singly and ready to hang unframed. This is a standard framing proportion, so if you ever want to mount or frame the finished painting you will find something off the shelf. The surface takes acrylic and oil. There is also room to work in detail without the canvas becoming a month-long commitment.

• 40 × 50 cm, rectangle
• One canvas
• Canvas stretched over a wooden frame
• Cotton canvas, 280 gsm
• Wooden frame, 1.5 cm deep, finger-jointed
• Staples fitted on the back of the frame
• No hanging fittings are supplied

The 40 × 40 cm is the same width squared off; the 40 × 60 cm is the same width again but taller, so the choice there is really about proportion.
