This policy explains what cookies this website uses, what each kind is for, and how you control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal information generally.
Who sets these cookies

Our shop runs on Shopify. Most of the cookies described below are set by Shopify in order to make the shop work and to give us basic statistics about how it is used.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site remember things between pages and between visits — for example, what is in your basket. Some similar technologies, such as pixels, local storage and tags, do much the same job, and where we say "cookies" in this policy we mean those too.
The two kinds, and which need your permission
UK law — the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 — divides cookies into two groups.
- Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent. These are the ones without which the site could not do what you have asked it to do: remember your basket, keep you logged in, take a payment securely, and protect against fraud. You cannot turn these off and still shop, because they are the shopping.
- Everything else needs your consent, given before the cookie is set. That includes analytics and any advertising or marketing cookies. You are free to say no, and saying no does not stop you buying anything or reduce your rights in any way. You can change your mind later, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Reporting and analytics cookies

They tell us how many people visited, which pages they looked at, and whether anything is broken — so that we can fix problems and make the shop easier to use. They do not tell us who you are.

Advertising
We do not run any third-party advertising or tracking tag on this site. No advertising network, social platform or analytics provider other than Shopify's own has a tag on our storefront. If we ever add one, we will ask for your consent before it runs, and we will update this policy before it goes live.

Cookies we do not use
We do not use cookies to build a profile of your personal characteristics, and we do not sell information about your browsing to anyone.
How to control cookies
Your cookie choices on this site today
We would rather tell you exactly where we have got to than describe a control that is not there.
This site does not yet show a cookie consent banner. Until it does, the reporting, analytics and marketing cookies listed above may be set when you visit, and the way to refuse or remove them is through your browser settings, described below. We are putting a consent tool in place. When it is live, you will be asked before those cookies are set, refusing will be exactly as easy as accepting, and we will update this policy to say so.
In the meantime, if you would like those cookies not to be used in connection with your visits, email support@colourivo.co.uk and we will tell you exactly how to stop them. Refusing them will never stop you placing an order, and it will never reduce your rights.
In your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most offer a setting for third-party cookies specifically. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Be aware that blocking all cookies, including the strictly necessary ones, will stop the basket and checkout working — that is a limitation of how the web works, not a choice we have made.
How this connects to your privacy rights
Where a cookie collects information that can be linked to you, that information is personal data, and everything in our Privacy Policy applies to it — including your right to ask for a copy, to have it deleted, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Consent to cookies is separate from consent to marketing emails. Accepting cookies does not sign you up to emails, and signing up to emails does not mean you have accepted analytics cookies.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The version number and effective date at the top of the page tell you which version you are reading.
