20 × 30 cm is an exact 2:3 rectangle — the proportion a camera gives you — and the smallest board in the range sold on its own.

It is the first size with enough surface for a finished piece rather than a study, and 2:3 is a natural shape either way up: upright for a figure, on its side for a landscape. The board is flat and rigid with a plain unprinted surface, sits square on a desk, and props against a wall without needing anything to hold it.
