Watercolour Pad — 180, 200 & 300 GSM
About this product
Watercolour paper has one job ordinary paper cannot do: hold water on the surface long enough for the pigment to settle. That is largely a question of weight. Lighter sheets cockle under a wet wash; heavier sheets take far more water before they move.
Three weights, one price per size, so the choice is about how wet you like to work.
Choose your paper
- 24 sheets, 180 GSM: for light washes, line-and-wash and practising colour mixing, where the sheet count matters most.
- 20 sheets, 200 GSM: the middle option; takes a more generous wash.
- 12 sheets, 300 GSM: the heaviest paper here, for wet-in-wet work and repeated glazing.
Choose your size
- A5 — 14.8 × 21 cm: colour studies, swatch cards and postcards.
- A4 — 21 × 29.7 cm: the everyday size for finished small paintings.
- A3 — 29.7 × 42 cm: landscapes and work where the brush needs room to travel.
