About this product

A sketch pad is a decision about how much paper you want and how hard you intend to work it. Lighter paper gives you plenty of sheets and no reason to be precious about any of them. Heavier paper gives you fewer, but stands up to more working over.

All three weights are here at the same price, so the choice is about how you draw rather than what you are willing to spend.

Choose your paper

• 80 sheets, 100 GSM: the practice pad. Enough sheets for daily warm-ups, life drawing and thumbnails.
• 56 sheets, 120 GSM: the middle option, and a sensible default if you are unsure.
• 24 sheets, 200 GSM: the heaviest paper here, for work you intend to keep.

Choose your size

• A5 — 14.8 × 21 cm: travels in a bag; café tables and quick studies.
• A4 — 21 × 29.7 cm: the everyday size, and the one most people buy first.
• A3 — 29.7 × 42 cm: life drawing, large studies and framed work.

Practical note: The supplier has not confirmed a surface treatment or finish. If you work wet — ink wash, marker or diluted paint — test one sheet first and place a spare sheet beneath your work.
