A gentler rectangle than the 20 × 30 cm — the same height, a little more width, and much less pull towards the vertical.
Canvas stretched over a square wooden frame, sold as one and ready to hang unframed. The near-square proportion is forgiving to compose in, which makes it a good size to work at regularly rather than save for something special. It takes acrylic and oil. It is a sensible size to keep a couple of spares in if you paint often.
