Sweetheart Colouring Book

About this product

Sweetheart is a square colouring book of animal characters in night-time settings. The cover shows a dog and a cat with an instant camera on a round picnic rug, a city skyline of lit windows behind them, and pastries, fruit and candles set out around the edge.

Night scenes give you something the daytime books do not: a dark ground to work against, which makes warm colours in the foreground carry further. Lit windows, candles and small food items act as accents across an otherwise deep background. Rounded character shapes fill quickly, and the surrounding detail rewards a second pass. Pencils and fibre-tips both suit the line weight used here.
